It was more than 13 years ago that Mary and Peter first met. At that time, they had no way of knowing what the future had in store for them. In the years to come, there would be laughter and tears, triumphs and trials, successes and failures, and joys and sorrows. But in those early days as they learned to love and respect one another, little did they know that this was the start of something special!
Time passed and that love and respect deepened. Then, on January 22, 1992, Mary and Peter were married at St. Ann's
Many memories of that wedding day are still vivid: the special people who were present for the occasion; the last minute details that still needed attention; the plans that didn't quite happen as planned! But of all the memories of that day, the most important are those of the ceremony itself, when Mary and Peter stood together, exchanged their solemn vows, and were pronounced husband and wife.
Their marriage began with a honeymoon in Hawaii. This was a time to privately share their hopes and dreams for the future. From the moment they moved into their first home, at 1232 Street, they shared, as husband and wife, in all that life had to offer. And, to this day, there are times when fond memories of that first home come to mind.

There was Antony and Cleopatra.
There was Romeo and Juliet.
There was Napoleon and Josephine.
And then . . .
It has been more than 13 years since they met. Peter was bold, fit and handsome, a refined gentleman of noble birth, sterling character and manly demeanor. Mary was lovely, gentle and beautiful, a spirited woman of artistic sensitivity and rare intellectual depth. What an interesting difference 13 years can make!
Some say it was love at first sight. When Peter first set eyes on Mary, he walked boldly up to her and gazed lovingly into her mysteriously beautiful eyes. "This could be the start of something wonderful," he whispered. "I'll let you know," Mary responded.
Days and weeks and months flew by as their unique love deepened profoundly. And then at last, on January 22, 1992, Peter and Mary were married. It has been remembered as the wedding of the year, the cultural event of the decade, and as a pretty good free meal. People came from far and wide to witness the wedding of Mary and Peter. The crowd of earnest onlookers was unlike anything ever seen at St. Ann's.
